Project Description:
The design of the first true ‘Home-zone’ within the West Midlands conurbation.

The main benefit of the scheme, in design terms, was the mixture of housing types, both flats and 3 & 4 bedroom houses. This allowed for a range of core and key worker housing that would lead to a mixed community.

The design and use of differing materials to break up roadways and to provide pedestrian scale and priority is fundamental to the overall effect and success of the scheme.
