Funded by the European Structural Fund 'Rechar' initiative the project involved the redesign and masterplanning of the South Shore or Lido of the former opencast colliery now Chasewater Country Park. The project included accommodating the Forest of Mercia Innovation Centre within the proposals and planning for the construction of the M6 Toll.

As the Landscape consultant for Lichfield District Council the brief included the assessment of the existing park usage, conditions and ecology followed by developing an overall masterplan for the future development of the South Shore.

Two phases of the approved master plan were then developed to detailed design including earth sculpture, feature signage and a crazy golf course. Bea Landscape Design was commissioned to develop the phase one proposals through to implementation onsite and completion.
