Project Description:
Bea Landscape Design was appointed as part of the project design team with Tim Ronalds Architects to deliver the Bunhill Energy Centre, a ground breaking innovative scheme retrofitting district heating in an inner city environment on the site of a former car park off Central Street, Islington.
The commission included providing arboricultural & landscape consultancy services with both the hard and soft landscape design of the public open space in order to secure planning permission.
Completed in 2012 the project the network serves over 850 homes and two leisure centres, providing cheaper and greener heat to the residents of Islington.
