Apr ’10: Shadwell Quarry

Bea as part of a multi disciplinary design team has obtained planning approval for the development of a 54 timber lodge holiday development and dive centre in an old quarry.

The quarry which was developed for the extraction of hard core for the building of the M54 has been vacant for some time and the proposal not only helps to regenerate the local tourist industry but also provides new leisure activities into the area.

The site is due to open in 2012 to coincide with the Olympics as its location, on the edge of Much Wenlock, is the original birth place of the modern Olympics.
