Project Description:

An integral part of the restoration of a Grade 1 listed landscape, this HLF funded project included the dredging of the ornamental lake and river and the creation of wetlands to mitigate potential pollution events from the adjacent M5 motorway with project hydrologists, Haycock Environmental Consultants.

The practice was involved at the early stages of the project to develop the concept proposals prepared by the project hydrologist to achieve planning, Environment Agency and Heritage Lottery Fund consent and project manage the project through to successful completion in 2004.

Following the purchase of Croome Court, the National Trust appointed the practice to work alongside Land Use Consultants for the change of use application for Croome Court.  The commission included the design and implementation of the visitor car park extension, visitor pedestrian and buggy routes as part of the opening of Croome Court to the public.  Working with the National Trust for over ten years other commissions included the dredging of Lickmoor Coppice;  the installation of a ground source heat pump and a 7 month secondment as project managers for the development stage of the successful HLF bid for the restoration of Croome Court.
