Healthcare

Project: Lion Medical Centre| Location: Stourbridge| Client: Revelan Group
Project Description:

Appointed as project Landscape Architects in 2007, Bea Landscape Design designed both the hard and soft landscape for the proposed car parks, including external planting, open space and smaller internal gardens for this proposed new Medical Centre on the edge of the River Stour in Stourbridge.

Key to the design, the proposal centred on the renovation and conversion of a 1820’s Grade II foundry building famous for the production of the first steam engine to be used in the USA.

This significant local heritage of the site was reflected in the design of the landscape around the car park and access routes. The scheme was successfully completed in 2014 and went on to win an English Heritage Angel Award.
