Project Description:

Bea Landscape Design Ltd was appointed as project Landscape Architects for the refurbishment and/or new build of seven Stoke schools as part of the governments Building Schools for the Future (BSF) project.

The schools included St Peters Academy, Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy, Kemball Special School, St Thomas More Catholic College, Haywood Engineering College, Portland School & Specialist College (formerly Aynsley School) and Birches Head High School.

As landscape consultants for the joint venture contractors Thomas Vale & Wates, the practice carried out consultation with the schools, council officers and the design teams providing conceptual designs through to planning and production information for all externals.

As well as hard and soft landscape design the practice also provided Arboricultural surveys, levels design information and carried out site inspections for some of the school designs.

The design for the projects were commissioned in 2010 and successfully completed in 2013.
