Project: The Waterfront| Location: Brierley Hill| Client: Richardson Developments
Project Description:

The 500,000 sq ft development of prestige offices and service units constructed around a series of courtyards and malls. This was one of the first out of town shopping and business centres developed as part an Enterprise Zone.

Due to relative freedom from the usual rigours of the planning system a new style of ‘Urbanization’ was developed based along the continental style. This involved the mixture of offices, restaurants and shops based on a pedestrianised bistro style development all centred around the creation of a new canal marina.

Bea Landscape Design was involved in the successful completion of numerous Richardson’s Development projects within the Black Country. The practice also worked with Advantage West Midlands and were term consultants for the now demised Black Country Development Corporation.
