The Stablecroft project at Moseley Old Hall has been honoured with the Gordon Miller Award by the Countryside Management Association. This recognition highlights the project’s outstanding contribution to landscape design, accessibility, and environmental enhancement. Congratulations to everyone involved in delivering this achievement.
After securing planning permission, work started at Old Moseley Hall in Wolverhampton on the Stablecroft Project where a new accessible hard surfaced pathways connected across the meadow linking the Tree Hide to the newly installed Boardwalk along the pond’s edge.
Alongside the hard landscape elements, Stablecroft introduced various ecological and landscape enhancements such as 3000 native trees and hedging planting, wildflower meadow areas and an orchard.
A standout feature of the project is the ‘Beeseye View’—a thoughtfully designed raised mound planted with wildflowers. This unique element encourages visitors to engage more closely with nature, offering an immersive perspective of the surrounding landscape.
