As part of the committee for his local park friends group, Dan has been providing landscape design advice and designs to help ‘The Friends of Hawne Park’ establish an improvements wish list.
Assisted by Dudley Council staff, conservative and labour election candidates as well as the local MP the friends group have arranged a number of events and fund raising initiatives including tree planting, litter picks and a very successful pub quiz.
The remarkable community spirit brought together by the friends group has even drawn the attention of the Home Secretary (Theresa May), who popped in to see what’s been going on.
