We are pleased to announce that Concord College’s New 60-bed Boarding House has achieved practical completion.
Designed to align with the new Boarding Parent Regulations and associated requirements, the new boarding house provides 60 student beds, a dedicated parent apartment and a range of communal spaces. The building will welcome students during the new academic year in late 2026, providing a high-quality residential environment that supports student wellbeing and the wider boarding experience.
The project also includes a carefully considered landscaping scheme, comprising two private gardens for boarding students and the house parent, alongside an open, formal garden to the rear of the building. Designed to complement Concord College’s exceptionally well-maintained grounds, managed by its excellent Grounds Team, the new landscape enhances the surrounding setting while providing valuable opportunities for student recreation, biodiversity and amenity.
Following the hot summer, the soft landscaping works have been rescheduled to align with the forthcoming planting season, helping to establish the new landscape at the most appropriate time.
Together, the building and landscape create a high-quality addition to the College campus, balancing the needs of a modern boarding environment with sensitivity to its established surroundings.
We would like to say a big congratulations to our collaborators.
A great result for a great team.
